Midstream process

Midstream process Photo

The midstream sector retrieves crude oil from the upstream process which is then processed, transported and stored. The midstream sector is the bridge between the upstream sector and downstream sector. The midstream process includes field processing and fractional plants that separate impurities and NGL from the processed oil and gas. Midstream sector is the link between natural gas production and fulfilling the demands of the society. The transportation and distribution of the midstream sector is regulated by US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
